Connecticut marriage license guide
How to get a marriage license in Connecticut
Connecticut requires the license to be obtained from the Town Clerk in the town where the ceremony will take place — not the couple's home town. The fee is $50 statewide with no waiting period. The ceremony must occur within 65 days of application. Witnesses are not statutorily required. Connecticut does not recognize common-law marriage formed in-state.
