Idaho marriage license guide
How to get a marriage license in Idaho
Idaho charges a flat $30 statewide, has no waiting period, and the license does not formally expire — couples can use it whenever. Both parties apply in person at any County Recorder. Two witnesses are required at the ceremony. Idaho abolished common-law marriage effective January 1, 1996, but honors marriages validly formed before that date.
